Deployment Methodology
One Unit. Scale to Any Project.
The CEES™ 48 kWh cartridge is ABC's modular building block. Depending on scale, it deploys in three configurations: outdoor-rated enclosures for distributed installations, BoxBe ISO containers for mid-range projects, or constructed BatteryBarn facilities for utility-scale storage.
Outdoor Enclosures
Direct Deployment for Distributed Sites
CEES™ units deploy in outdoor-rated NEMA3R/IP55 enclosures, linked to wall-mounted inverters:
- No building required
- Ideal for remote sites, microgrids, and island infrastructure
- As deployed at the Manitou Islands project for the National Park Service
BoxBe Containers
Containerized Storage, Ready to Ship
Pre-integrated CEES™ cartridges housed in standard ISO containers:
- 10-foot (384 kWh) or 20-foot (768 kWh) configurations
- Factory tested, transportable by standard flatbed
- Outdoor-rated, deploy in weeks
BatteryBarn™
Utility-Scale in 6,000 Square Feet
A purpose-built warehouse facility housing 432 CEES™ cartridges:
- 5 MW / 20 MWh capacity in 6,000 square feet
- No cell-level HVAC, fire suppression not needed
- No capacity augmentation over 20-year life
Proven Deployment
Manitou Islands, National Park Service
180 kW, 720 kWh Total Off-Grid System
Deployed for the United States Federal Government at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Shoreline. CEES™ outdoor enclosures with wall-mounted inverters powering all island infrastructure. Balanced three-phase 208V system configuration with two inverters per phase. Continuous power delivery in a remote, environmentally sensitive location.
- National Park Service, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore
- 180 kW / 720 kWh off-grid configuration between two sites
- Balanced three-phase 208V output
- Remote island deployments, no grid connection
